Coffeehousing (n.)
An illegal question or hesitation intended to mislead the opponents, although it usually winds up misleading partner.
Combination Play (v.)
A line partner takes that, with a combination of stupidity and ill-judgment, invariably results in him going off.
Comic Notrump (n.)
An overcall of 1NT that causes your partner to lose his sense of humor once your hand hits the table.
Commentators Block (n.)
The place where kibitzers wish a Vugraph Commentator would put his/her head, after continuously incorrectly analyzing hands.
Communication (n.)
There is usually a lack of this between two hands, either in the bidding or the play.
Convention Card (n.)
1. A list of all the special agreements you will forget in the following session.
2. A menu of all of the conventions, signals and methods you hope to one day be able to understand.
Conservative (adj.)
A term referring to a bidding style that often results in +260.
Correct (v.)
A term referring to your position in every argument. For partner's position, see: Incorrect
Count Signal (n.)
An agreement that when you kick partner under the table, it's a reminder to recount trumps since LHO just flashed you one.
Coup En Passant (n.)
One of those techniques you strive to execute when playing with a woman who you are trying to get into bed with so you can discuss your approach to the play of the hand in the bar afterwards after you have overheard her telling her best friend on her mobile during the interval that she will only date someone who can speak French with a sexy accent.
Crack (v.)
What you intend to do to partner's head after he put you in a slam off 4 keycards.
CRASH (v.)
A verb describing your association with the sofa later that evening when, whilst playing with your wife, you overcall an opponents non-making NT to a non-making part-score your way.
Crawling Pre-Empt (n.)
A term referring to bidding 2C, then 3C, 4C, 5C, 6C, and 7C as the opponents slowly exchange information in-between.
Crossruff (v.)
A term referring to when the defenders score all their trumps separately after doubling you.
Cutthroat Bridge (n.)
The form of the game being played after playing more than 1 session with your spouse.
